Live Edge Design Styles
1.
Live edges
Standard: Are you looking for soft, subtle live edges? Edges that maintain a fairly even width throughout the entire slab? Standard edges provide a great accent to the slab while not overpowering the overall grain.
Live edge items exhibit a diverse array of shapes, sizes, and styles. When initiating the design phase for your orders, it's crucial to communicate any preferences regarding what we refer to as "character."
Are you seeking a solid wood surface with very little contours, or do you envision one with irregular live edges deviating from conventional norms? Are you interested in incorporating vibrant epoxy resin accents or exploring the endless possibilities of a complete river table?
Take a moment to reflect on your desires, and we'll be better equipped to assist you in crafting the ideal, personalized product.

Round: Also known as "cookies," round slabs boast a circular or oval shape, encompassing the entire diameter of the tree. The edges can be smooth like a perfect circle or irregular like the sample shown above. Most Commonly used for End Tables or Coffee Tables.

Slab Types:
Unique: Seeking to add a touch of flair to your space? Unique edges exhibit knots, curled grain patterns, and other distinctive features while maintaining a semi-consistent width across the slab.
Type Of Top:
Irregular: Cut from visually stunning trees, irregular slabs lack uniformity in shape, with variations from slab to slab often necessitating minor epoxy filling.
Eccentric: Ready to make a bold statement? Eccentric slabs feature twisted grain, irregular widths, knots, voids, and more, offering a truly distinctive presence in any setting.
Rectangle: The classic choice, rectangular slabs offer abundant character, featuring straight edges throughout their length, along with occasional bump outs, knots, spiraling grain patterns, and more.
3.
Single Slab: Locally sourced, slabs with a large width (30"+) can be used to create pieces that standout. These slabs are more rare (often at a premium price) and can hold a consistent width or vary from end to end.
Joined: Sometimes more cost efficient when compared to single slabs, joined tops can be tailored to the desired width. Often, book-matched slabs are used to have a consistent grain pattern, edge width, and style.
Straight Edge: The classic choice, these tables exhibit straight edges on all sides and are referred to as “Standard Dining Table”. Straight edge tables, feature clean, sharp lines and edges that highlight the natural beauty and grain of the wood, offering a sleek and modern aesthetic.
