Just as no two trees are identical, no two pieces of furniture will ever be exactly the same. These natural characteristics are a hallmark of authentic solid wood furniture and reflect the individuality of every piece we create.

Wood & Finish Variations

Natural variations in wood grain, figure, and tone are inherent to solid wood. While we carefully apply the selected stain or finish, slight variations in color may occur due to the way different boards absorb stain.

We cannot guarantee exact color matches from photographs. If a specific finish is required, we recommend providing a physical sample for reference.

The level of sanding or distressing can also influence the final appearance of a finish. Smooth surfaces tend to produce lighter tones, while distressed textures may absorb stain more deeply.

Natural Characteristics of Solid Wood

Solid wood naturally expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity. Because of this, you may notice subtle movement over time, including small gaps between boards or minor dimensional changes.

These natural movements are normal and may include:

• slight seasonal gaps between boards (up to approximately 1/8")

• minor changes in width, length, or thickness

• subtle bowing or movement of the tabletop

Additionally, solid wood furniture may feature natural knots, grain variations, and character marks that contribute to its authenticity.

Due to the custom, handcrafted nature of our work, dimensions may vary slightly, with a tolerance of up to approximately 1 inch across overall measurements.

While we strive to meet projected timelines, our primary focus is maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship and quality.
