We advise against the use of harsh chemical cleaners on your furniture. For cleaning purposes, we suggest opting for an all-natural cleaner (such as a thieves cleaner) or using a sponge with warm water, followed by thorough drying. Avoid placing items directly on the surface that generate excessive heat, such as hot pots or pans. Additionally, the use of coasters is recommended to safeguard your furniture. Stain Variation: Wood reacts differently to stains, and we cannot guarantee an exact match to the product displayed on our website or examples provided by customers. While we offer different wood types, there will be no refunds or rework for minor color differences. Custom furniture's beauty lies in its uniqueness, ensuring that no two items are alike. We always strive to meet your expectations to the best of our ability.
Distressing: Some of our handcrafted furniture is ordered with distressing as a crucial aesthetic. Since this is done manually, no two points of distress will appear identical. This uniqueness is to be celebrated, and no refunds will be issued for distressing variations or if the level of distressing differs from the customer's expectations at the time of ordering. Heavy distressing is only applied if specifically requested by the customer. Refer to our photos for an understanding of how we distress our furniture before placing an order.

Importance of Notes: When placing a custom order on our website, utilize the Describe your Project field and be as detailed as possible. With the volume of orders passing through our shop monthly, it's crucial to include any special instructions or customizations in the notes. This helps avoid miscommunication and ensures that your expectations are met.
For instance, if you discussed a different table top style on Facebook but didn't confirm it during the order, leaving a note like "Would like the different style table top we discussed on Facebook" helps us refer back to our conversation when building your table.
Special Details: Requests such as avoiding distressing or specifying a particular paint color must be clearly outlined in the notes during checkout. This proactive communication prevents frustration on both ends by ensuring the final product aligns with your expectations.
Note on Rework: Please note that we cannot undertake furniture rework due to missed details; therefore, it's crucial to document any special requirements in the notes section during the ordering process. Ideas mentioned in passing without written confirmation in the notes cannot be held against our liability.

Daily Maintenance:
Quick Rinse: After each use, rinse the cutting board with warm water to remove loose debris and food particles.
Gentle Scrub: Use a soft brush or sponge with mild dish soap to gently scrub the surface. Avoid harsh abrasives.
Pat Dry: Wipe the board thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Weekly Cleaning:
Baking Soda Paste:
Combine 2 tbsp baking soda, 1 tbsp salt, and 3 tbsp hot water to create a paste.
Spread the paste over the cutting board, scrub the surface, and wipe with a warm, damp cloth.
Dry with a dish towel.
Monthly Maintenance:
Deep Conditioning:
Apply a food-grade mineral oil or beeswax to nourish the wood.
Allow to penetrate for a few hours or overnight, then wipe off excess oil.
Tips for Prolonging the Life of Your Cutting Board:
Avoid Soaking: Never submerge the cutting board in water or run it through the dishwasher. Excessive moisture can lead to warping.
Use Separate Boards: Designate specific boards for raw meat, vegetables, and cooked food to prevent cross-contamination.
Gentle Cutting: Avoid using overly sharp knives that can cause deep cuts in the wood.
Avoid Direct Heat: Keep the cutting board away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent drying and cracking.
